Sara Taylor grew up in the small town called Anson in rural Maine. She attended all of her k-12 education within the RSU 74 school district and graduated Carrabec High School as class Salutatorian, with an above 4.0 average. The class Valedictorian that year was Samantha Taylor, Sara’s identical twin sister. Sara was initially accepted to the University of Maine at Orono, and was awarded a full tuition scholarship called the Maine Top Scholar Award. Sara attended the University of Maine at Orono for Computer Engineering, but ultimately decided to rejoin her sister at The University of Maine at Farmington for a B.A. Interactive Media. Sara and Samantha graduated together from UMF with matching 4.0’s, overcoming many hardships and challenges together.

Sara enjoys art, music, video games, and computer science. She considers herself to be a feminist and a lifelong learner. Sara enjoys participating in community projects, such as UMF’s Community Garden and her history at The Center for Entrepreneurial Studies. Sara could see herself fulfilling a lot of roles in her future, including being a designer/media creator for the toy/game industry, a feminist artist working with a technological medium, a supporter of the nonprofit sector, or possibly even a singer.
